Association of Indonesia (Papdi) - Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI),
Prof.. Dr.Samsuridjal Djauzi SpPD-KAI stated, immunizations for adults can not be ignored, and no less important to immunize children.
"In
fact, immunization of adults to prevent the risk of death one hundred
times higher than the immunization of children. Every year, tens of
thousands of adults and hundreds of thousands of others had to be
hospitalized because of the disease that could be prevented by
immunization," said Samsuridjal in Jakarta, Sunday (01/13/2013).
Not
only babies and toddlers, adults also need immunizations due to the
increasing age of a person, the more vulnerable he also will be exposed
to the disease. "Immunizations for adults, especially the elderly, can prevent death significantly," he said.
