Moisten skin with swallow's nests

"My mother routinely cook bird nest for the father's health. The nest of this bird is believed to strengthen the lungs. My mother cooked for the health of the smoker's father," said Imelda Frances, Miss Indonesia 2005-blooded Chinese.

So far, bird's nest as the hereditary material is believed to health and beauty. To prove the bird's nest is indeed scientifically useful, a clinical study recently conducted in Taiwan. The experts examined the effects of bird's nest on 20 women aged 30 to 60 years.

The women were eating bird's nest for eight weeks. The result, they proved to be more moist skin.

"Humidity is determined by skin water content contained in the layers of skin," said Dr. Nadia Yusharyahya, Sp.KK, a dermatologist from Cipto Mangunkusumo Jakarta.
