Research Reveals Food Rich Sugar Breasts Cancer

Lovers of sugary foods seem to be careful about eating sugar-rich foods. Research reveals, these foods can actually trigger various forms of cancer by giving them the much needed energy to breed.

The researchers found one type of cancer called squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC). This type is found in the lungs, head and neck, esophagus and cervix. The development is considered highly dependent on the content of sugar consumed by someone, quoted Indian Express, Tuesday (30/5).

"It has been suspected that many cancer cells rely heavily on sugar as their energy supply, but it turns out that one specific type - squamous cell carcinoma - is more highly dependent on sugar," said Assistant Professor at the University of Texas, Jung-whan Kim.

SqCC is also found to have a highly active protein called a glucose transporter 1 or GLUT1. This substance is responsible for transporting glucose into the cells. It provides a fundamental source of energy and fuel cell metabolism.

For the study, published in the journal Nature Communications, the team investigated metabolic differences between two major subtypes of small cell lung cancer - adenocarcinoma (ADC) and SqCC. The investigators investigated the effects of GLUT1 inhibitors on human lung tissue, isolated lung cancer cells and mice with both types of non-small cell lung cancer.

No Bath Need Every Day

Bath was not always associated with cleanliness. Some people decide to bathe as an aesthetic form.

"People think they bathe for cleanliness or become cleaner, but bacteriologically, that's not the problem," said infectious disease scientist and associate dean for research at Columbia University School of Nursing. Elaine Larson, quoted from Time, Monday (15/5).

Larson's research has shown that antibacterial soaps and cleaning products that people use in their homes are no better than ordinary soap used to reduce the risk of infectious diseases. And when it comes to bathing, all that rubs and peels the skin in fact does not mean much.

Instead of taking a bath, Larson states that if hand washing regularly is better able to avoid illness. Even too much bathing can increase the risk with some health problems.

Dry and cracked skin opens a gap for infectious germs to escape into the body. Means often bathing, especially for old age will make the skin semkin dry and less hydrated.

Nevertheless, this conclusion is not final. The reason. The research team has not been able to ascertain whether these two variables have a direct causal correlation or any other effect.

For that, further research is needed on the correlation. '' Mentioned, people with non-O blood group have a higher risk of heart attack and death lift due to cardiovascular as a whole. However, this sara is derived from case studies with controls that have a fairly low level of evidence. If this can be confirmed further, it can have an impact on the type of treatment given to a person, '' said lead researcher Tessa Kole, as quoted by Science Alert, Wednesday (3/5).

Nevertheless, from the study at least it can be concluded there is a possibility of correlation between a person's blood type and the level of risk of cardiovascular disorders. Blood type is determined before the person is born and formed based on a specific mixture of antibodies and antigens present in the blood cells.

Fasting for Longer Life

We often hear about the benefits of reducing calorie intake to get a longer life. Research has indeed proven that a drastically reduced dietary intake may prolong double the life of rodents, worms, and insects.

Even a 20-year study of rhesus monkeys, a species of close human relative, found that the benefits of the diet turned out to be diverse, ranging from immunity to cancer, reduced risk of heart disease, and reduced risk of age-related diseases.

Although many benefits are obtained by reducing the intake of calories, but the question is: who wants to continue to starve all his life? Is there an easier way? Can we get the same benefits but in a way that does not torture?

The answer was there. It is called periodic fasting or intermittent fasting (IF), and is commonly applied to weightlifting, crossfit, and other sports athletes.

"When hearing the word fast, people would usually imagine a week not eating," said Brad Pilon, author of Eat Stop Eat. "But it should not be so, but imagine that we only take a longer time lag between meals."
