Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables it can make people happier. This was revealed in a recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia recently.
The study, involving more than 12,000 people are researching people's choice of fruits and vegetables. As a result, it can be concluded consume eight servings of fruits and vegetables, or more every day can improve mental health.
One researcher from UQ, Dr Redzo Mujcic said that the current guidelines regarding the consumption of fruits and vegetables mostly focused on physical health. Though these two types of foods also have an impact on mental health.
"The result is that the more you eat (vegetables and fruit), the better the results," said radio Mujcic told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), Wednesday (22/10).
"But also there is an optimal point. Eating five fruits and vegetables (per day) makes us very happy," he added.
Even so, Mujcic say less than 10 percent of those surveyed consume up to 10 servings per day.
