5 Mistakes That Should Not Be Done After Sport

Exercising at the gym will have a positive impact on the body if done regularly. However, physiologist Susan Paul and program director at the Orlando Track Shack Foundation say there are some things that can mess up the results.

Women who have trained 1,350 runners say there are still some athletes who make mistakes during the training process. Here are five habits that should not be done after exercise, quoted from page Women's Health.

- Do not change clothes
Immediately change damp clothing full of sweat after exercise to prevent bacterial growth and stabilize body temperature. The same thing applies to shoes and socks to leg muscles have a chance to relax.

- Lie down all day
Exercise is exhausting, but that does not mean that after doing so one can sleep all day. Keep doing mild activity to smooth blood circulation such as walking for a moment, light stretching, or standing while breathing deeply.

- Do not change energy
It is recommended to eat and drink about 20 to 30 minutes after completion of exercise. Do not forget to replace energy with healthy foods that contain protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates, in addition to drinking lots of water to hydrate the body.

- Working hard
Those who just finished exercising are not advised to directly do the grueling things such as lifting things or mowing the grass. The heavy duty will burden the tired muscles, especially if the body is dehydrated after exercise.

- Understanding recovery
Taking the trivial stage of recovery because of short or light duration of exercise is wrong thinking. Anyone will only reap the results of the optimal exercise if it treats and keeps the body properly.
