Benefits of Eating Three Date Dates Every Day

This one fruit tastes sweet and is often a dessert. Yes, dates that are widely grown in tropical countries have many benefits for your body and mind too.

Eating three dates every day a week can have such a good effect. It can even be a routine if you know the benefits. Here are some of the benefits of consuming dates, reported from the Prevent Food page.

Reducing the risk of colon cancer

Along with ensuring that food moves through the digestive system at a healthy level, dates also ensure that the intestines are healthy, and free from harmful bacteria. When the digestive and intestinal systems work properly, so does the large intestine. As a result, the risk of colon cancer decreases.

A study conducted by the Department of Food Science and Nutrition found that those who consume dates improve the health of the large intestine because dates increase the growth of good bacteria, inhibit the growth
of colon cancer cells.

Fast and long-lasting energy

Dates contain natural sugars, glucose, fructose and sucrose which will give a burst of energy quickly when you need it. And unlike energy bars or drinks, dates contain other healthy components such as fiber, potassium, magnesium, vitamins and antioxidants that will make those levels rise, and not make you tired quickly.
Digestive health increases

If you want to keep your digestive system well and regularly, dates are an important food. Only in one serving of glasses or dates, you will get 12 grams of fiber. This means that 48 percent of daily intake has been fulfilled.

The right amount and the right type of fiber can be beneficial for digestive health by preventing constipation and promoting regular bowel movements. Dates are definitely the right type of fiber to do the job.

In fact, a study published in the British Journal of Nutrition found that people who consumed seven dates per day for 21 days showed an increased frequency of bowel movements. Including an increase in defecation compared to when they don't eat dates.

Smarter

Dates contain Vitamin B6 which has been shown to improve brain performance by helping the body make serotonin and norepinephrine. Serotonin in turn regulates the mood and norepinephrine helps your body deal with stress. In contrast, studies have shown that low Vitamin B6 levels are associated with depression.

So when the brain is clear of stress and in a good mood, the brain is sharp, and ready to learn and store information.

Treatment for hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are veins in the anus, and an rectum that has become inflamed and swollen. This is often caused by constipation which causes tension in the area at the end of the digestive tract.

This is a terrible condition and often very painful, fortunately can be treated, even reversed through changes in diet to reduce constipation. Many doctors recommend a high-fiber diet, and that includes dates.

Increase the cardiovascular system

The potassium contained in this seemingly magical little fruit has been found to reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) which causes blockages in the arteries, which result in strokes, and even heart attacks. A study of older women found that high potassium intake was associated with a lower risk of stroke, stroke ischemia and death.
