More than 70 dishes presented in Houston archipelago in Indonesia Culinary Festival held Consulate General of Indonesia in Houston, United States, November 15, 2014.
"The menu is typical of Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke, almost all can be discovered and enjoyed by people of Houston, this culinary richness symbolizes the diversity and richness of Indonesian culture," said Consul General of Indonesia in Houston Henk Saroinsong through a release on Sunday (16/11).
The festival was attended by more than 1,000 local communities, representatives of Indonesian Diaspora, and Friends of Indonesia. Some visitors even willing to travel from out of town like Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Louisiana to come and enjoy Indonesian food.
"Food Indonesia is one of the best food in the world, I do not regret coming from far away," said Megan who came from Dallas, a four-hour drive from Houston.
Indonesian activities Culinary Festival is the first Indonesian culinary festival in Houston that aims to support the promotion of Indonesian cuisine to the international community.
