Telecommunications company Huawei on Tuesday (18/06/2013) in London, England, launched the Ascend phones P6 which is now the thinnest smartphone in the world.
As quoted by Reuters, Ascend P6 has a thickness of 6.18 mm. It is thinner than Apple's iPhone 5 is designed with 7.6 mm thick and Samsung Galaxy S4 with 7.9 mm.
The Chinese company is relying Ascend P6 to compete in the global market of Android phones. In terms of design, this phone comes with a screen measuring 4.7 inches and is available in black, white, and pink.
Equipped with hardware specifications include a quad-core processor 1.5 GHz, 8 MP rear camera, front camera 5 MP, and runs the Android operating system 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).
Huawei Ascend will market the P6 in June 2013 in China, in Western Europe in July, then proceed to other markets.
Based on data from the research institute Gartner, Huawei became the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world in the first quarter of 2013, after Samsung, Apple, and LG. Huawei has sold 9 million phones, which is mostly sold in China.
