Want a Healthy Heart? Beware of These Foods

Choosing and eating the right foods is one important factor in maintaining heart health. So what are the foods you should watch out for in order to keep a healthy heart?

Doctor Grace Judio-Kahl from Bunda Hospital advocate, preferably one that is not often consumed foods that contain saturated fats (saturated fats). Saturated fats are usually contained in foods from animal products, such as butter, cheese, milk, ice cream, and fatty meats

Grace had to categorize the type of fatty foods and beverages based on cholesterol levels were conceived and how often the food or drink may be consumed.

Foods are categorized as safe, according to him, include chicken egg whites, skinless chicken meat and freshwater fish.

 
"For a category that should be consumed once in a while, for example bacon, ribs, regular beef, pigeon. Carefully if the category, such as cheese, lean beef, crab, shrimp, scallops," he said, Wednesday (26/6 ).

Then, the food category "dangerous" because of high cholesterol levels, among other coconut milk, cow's milk, squid, chocolate, beef offal, quail eggs. "The category of abstinence or safe because cholesterol levels are very high, such as chicken egg yolk and bovine brain," explains Grace.

Grace also gives some tips for lowering bad cholesterol in the body. Some of them are eating foods that contain lots of fiber, avoid eating fried, and use unsaturated oils.
