Bad Effects Stress Equals 5 Trunk Cigarette

Stress should be avoided because of the bad effects. According to research, people who often stress, panic, and overwhelmed by the problem greater risk of suffering a heart attack. The risk is even called the equivalent of five cigarettes smoked.

Similarly, according to research by a team from Columbia University Medical Center and published in the meeting of The American Journal of Cardiology.

The researchers analyzed six studies were interviewed about their perceptions of stress, both the degree and frequency of the stress they feel.



The group participants were divided into categories of high and low stress. Then followed their health for 14 years. Those who suffer from stress are often classified as risk of heart attack 27 percent higher.

Too often stress also increases bad cholesterol (LDL) to 2.8 mmol / l and blood pressure. Increased cholesterol level was twice recommended for heart and stroke patients.

High cholesterol levels can trigger heart attacks by causing constriction of the blood vessels so that blood circulation of the heart becomes blocked. Meanwhile, high blood pressure causes hardening of the blood vessels and makes it vulnerable clogged.

The link between stress and heart attacks more pronounced in the elderly.
