Healthy fats are good for Lower Cholesterol

Fat has had a bad seal in our minds. They are often blamed for causing obesity and other deadly diseases. Though not all fats are bad, even plays an important role in the functioning of the body, such as lowering the bad cholesterol.

So, not all fats are bad. Both full fat soluble vitamins fat to prevent hunger continuously. Here are some healthy fats that are good for lowering your kolesteol, as reported from Timesofindia, Thursday (24/09/2015).

Healthy oils for foods low in cholesterol
All oils and fats have some qualities that are good for our health. So we should not stick to one type of oil or fat for cooking. For example, in one month you use sunflower oil and the next month you can use sesame oil.

Low cholesterol cooking oil is olive, canola, sesame oil and mustard oil. Good quality oils are also found in avocados and avocado oils, nuts and oil, corn, cottonseed, safflower and seed oil or sunflower oil, or oil seeds and soybeans.

Monounsaturated fats are healthy fats
There are two types of cholesterol, the cholesterol that clogs our arteries, it is known as LDL or bad cholesterol and other types helps in removing these blockages, known as good cholesterol or HDL.

Monounsaturated fat lowers total blood cholesterol and maintain HDL (good cholesterol) you. Monounsaturated fats help lower the risk of heart disease. Olive oil has 75 percent monounsaturated fat.

Examples of monounsaturated fats which macadamia nuts (80 percent monounsaturated fat), avocado (71 percent), almonds (70 percent), and canola oil (59 percent). Other sources are almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, natural peanut butter, pecans, pistachios, oil and sesame seeds.

Polyunsaturated fats also can be healthy
Polyunsaturated fats have good cholesterol but reduces total blood cholesterol by lowering both LDL (bad cholesterol) and HDL (good cholesterol). For this reason, we must not go overboard in eating these fats.

Meat fat also helps lower cholesterol
Although useful, too fat meat should still be restricted. To avoid excess fat, always buy lean meat, before cooking, remove visible fat such as chicken skin that can accumulate fat under the skin.

If you want to make broth or beef broth soup, refrigerate. This will help the fat solidifies so you will easily be cooked membuangny moment.
