Inviting Sleep Late Nightmares

The habit of staying up or delaying bedtime until late at night is strongly suspected to be the cause of why someone is more frequent nightmares.

Conclusions are produced by researchers from Turkey to conduct a survey to 264 men and women dream about sleep habits and experiences. The result, they are often awake until late at night and difficulty waking in the morning having a nightmare frequency of 70 per cent higher compared with people who sleep and wake up early enough.

The researchers also found people who like to stay up it is more difficult to resume sleep after waking from his nightmare compared with "the morning person" or people who like to get up early.

So why stay up cause nightmares? Researchers do not yet know exactly, but the biggest suspicion is due to stress.

"People who often stayed up late will have high levels of stress hormones which disrupt the way the brain stores memory during REM sleep. This will cause the brain to interpret the memory as a frightening dream," said Yavuz Selvi, researchers from the University of Arizona.

To expedite your eyes closed, it is recommended that you take time to relax a while before getting into bed. Avoid doing other activities other than sleep and sex in the bedroom to the brain to associate the bedroom with sleep activity.
