In an egg there is a variety of essential nutrients from proteins, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and good fats. But a recent research claims, eating three eggs a week can significantly increase the risk of a man dying from prostate cancer.
The researchers found that men who consumed more than 2.5 eggs per week likely to develop prostate cancer by 81 percent.
According to them, the damage may be caused by a large number of content of cholesterol or choline (a nutrient that helps cells to function properly) that is found in eggs. The findings are based on observations made by a team of researchers from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, who examined the eating habits of 27,000 people over a period of 14 years.
The study found no significant relationship between the amount of meat consumed by tumor risk. But the high number of deaths due to cancer is found precisely in those who claim to consume lots of eggs.
