Foods Trigger Diabetes

Junk food a favorite of many people. In fact, many do not know if the food is often regarded as a trigger serious illness, one diabetes.

South Korea, as one of the modern countries in Asia have struggled to combat the epidemic of diabetes. Many diabetes control program launched, including dietary habits change society socialize.

According to Prof. Nam H. Cho, Chairman of the International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region, the influx of fast food restaurants in recent modern era has created a bad trend to lead ordinary people to eat unhealthy foods.

"Since fast food restaurants to Korea, healthy traditional foods like kimchi be forgotten. But now, young people began to familiarize themselves with these healthy foods," he said in a press conference Indonesia Diabetes Leadership Forum, at the JW Marriott, Jakarta, Thursday (11/13/2014).

One program that is implemented to combat diabetes as BED, namely Behavior, Exercise, Diet. Further Cho, the Korean government launched the program seriously, given the prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Korea continues to increase.

Another example of the implementation of the program is to create a regulatory BED residential standards. This embodiment as requiring an apartment in the capital Seoul has training facilities such as a fitness center, a garden for residents of physical activity, and Bike Park.

The urban area of concern to many because it often encourages people to have an unhealthy lifestyle. One impact is to increase the public with metabolic disease diabetes mellitus.

Urban cities like Seoul or Jakarta, threatened epidemic of diabetes. Now, the government of Jakarta signed a cooperation agreement for designing Jakarta Diabetes Roadmap to provide real solutions to the problem of diabetes in urban Jakarta.
