Not bad as that Calculated Fat, It's Worth

Fat has always been considered bad for health. So, get rid of the fat in the daily food intake is considered as the best way to prevent obesity and cardiovascular disease.

However, according to senior researcher and nutritionist from Fonterra, Elisabeth Weichselbaum, fat is not as bad as it seems. Precisely fats contribute health benefits.

Elisabeth revealed, fat helps the absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K into the body to stay healthy. Without fat, the benefits of fat-soluble vitamin that the body was not found.

Moreover, fat also helps maintain a healthy weight. Presence of fat is considered as a component that helps nutrition. For children, for example, fat is required for growth and can be obtained from milk

"Children are advised to drink full-fat milk because of high energy. That they need for growth," said Elisabeth.

According to Elisabeth, assuming fat makes someone overweight is a myth. Obesity occurs because excessive number of calories in the body than necessary. He also denied that saturated fats are bad fats and bad impact on cardiovascular.

Some experts also began to oppose the views of saturated fats are bad fats. Based on further research, saturated fat neutral or no negative impact on cardiovascular.

Evidence showed, further Elisabeth, even fat milk associated with a decreased risk of stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome.

However, it does not mean fat intake should be increased and become redundant. Eat within the limits recommended for healthy benefit.
