Besides there are foods that are harmful to the body and can increase the risk of cancer, there are also foods that can actually reduce the risk of getting cancer. These foods are rich in nutrients to potentially prevent cancer.

Besides helping to stay full and well-nourished, fibrous foods reduce your risk of colon cancer. The health of the large intestine will keep everything running smoothly in the digestive system.

Vegetables and fruits colored like celery, kale, carrots and tomatoes contain beneficial phytochemicals. That's what gives them color, smell, and taste.

Phytochemicals reduce inflammation and act like swallowed body guards, keeping things from being eaten, drinking and breathing so as not to become carcinogens. Phytochemicals can also help prevent DNA damage and repair it.

Healthy biscuits from Pepino


Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UB (UB FTP), Malang, East Java, Indria Purwatiningrum, managed to create a biscuit from Pepino fruit combined with Rosella flower jam. Pepila named Biscuit was created in order to anticipate the proliferation of less healthy snacks in the community.

Indria Pepila claim is a healthy snack, low, rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Biscuits are named Pepila, taken from the words and Rosela Pepino, a combination of both names. "Biscuits, has benefits for improving blood circulation and maintain the immune system and as antioxidants," he explained, Tuesday (08/05/2012).

Prevent Stroke With Citrus Fruit

Recent research shows that eating citrus fruit regularly can help reduce the risk of stroke. For this study, researchers focused on compounds called flavanone, which is found in citrus fruits.


"These data provide strong support for eating more fruit juice as a daily consumption to reduce the risk of ischemic stroke," says study leader Aedin Cassidy, head of the nutrition of Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia, England.
