When taking into account the status of marriage in the event of a heart attack, researchers found people who are not married have a risk of 58-66 percent, while in women the risk is about 60-65 per cent.

The difference in the risk of death from heart disease even greater in the group of people who are married and living alone. For single men, the risk of death 28 days after a heart attack more than 60 percent.

Why do people get married to benefit is not clearly known. But there are several reasons that allegedly played a role. Among other things, people are still singles generally lower health status.

People who are married tend to have more established financial status, have more friends and more social support, all of which improve the health status. People who have a spouse will also be helped faster than a doctor or an ambulance transported the singles.
