A recent study reported by the British Journal of Psychiatry states that often eat processed foods such as fast food or junk food may increase the risk of depression, heart attacks, and cancer. Researchers from Britain and France examined 3486 men and women with an average age of 55 years. Each participant was asked to fill in the questionnaire about the foods they ate and how often they consume in a day.
Having studied with a variety of other variables such as age and sex, the researchers found that participants who frequently consume fast food have a higher risk of developing depression.
