This research involved 450 thousand respondents . Researchers reviewing three studies on the provision of various types of multivitamins and 24 research award of one or two types of multivitamins . From these studies , the researchers concluded , there is no clear beneficial effect of multivitamin use in the prevention of cardiovascular disease , cancer , or death from any cause .

The second study evaluated the efficacy , daily multivitamin to prevent cognitive decline in men aged 65 years or more . This research involved 5,947 respondents in a study conducted at Harvard in 1997 . The study, called the Physicians ' Health Study II aimed to know the profit -and-loss supplements of multivitamins , vitamin E , and vitamin C , to prevent cardiovascular disease , cancer , visual impairment , and cognitive decline .
Research conducted over the past 12 years proves , there is no real difference in people who consume supplements or a placebo . Thus, prevention of cognitive decline and the same disease in people who take supplements and do not .
