In addition due to viral hepatitis, liver cancer is also caused by the habit of consuming alcoholic beverages. On the other hand, a number of studies also show the benefits of alcohol to health. So how to make alcoholic beverages not to cause liver cancer?
Medical specialist in gastroenterology hepatology Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia - Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (Faculty of medicine / RSCM) LA Lesmana said, consumption of alcoholic beverages does not necessarily lead to liver cancer, as long as it is not taken in excess.
"For example, only a limited social drink drink, alcoholic beverages will not be harmful to health," he said when interviewed by the media after the seminar associated with advanced liver cancer treatment in Jakarta, Tuesday (08/26/2014).
Alcoholic beverages may be easily found in a celebration or special occasions. This then raised the term social drink which means only drinking alcoholic beverages in honor of friends who also drink in certain occasions.

According Lesmana, people who have the habit of drinking alcoholic beverages only on certain occasions no one has lead to cirrhosis or liver stiffness. These conditions increase the risk of liver cancer, although not all cases of cirrhosis leads to liver cancer.
Numerous studies show the benefits of alcoholic beverages, such as red wine or wine made from red grapes. For example, a recent study that revealed the content of resveratrol in red wine can provide anti-aging effects on a person's memory.
However, no studies have proved, drinking red wine may reduce the risk of death, heart disease, cancer, or inflammatory content. Evidently, those with the highest levels of resveratrol are not healthier than people with the lowest levels of these compounds.
