Many Premature Death Watch TV Trigger

There have been many we hear about the bad effects of less mobile lifestyle (sedentary lifestyle) on health. Even now a new study adds to the reason how we should immediately put an end to the lifestyle.
The study revealed that people who watch more than three hours of television a day were twice more likely to experience premature death aka death at a young age. Interestingly, the activity such as staring at a computer screen or drive does not significantly increase this risk.
Chairman studies also head of the department of public health at the University of Navarra Miguel Martinez-Gonzalez said, the results of this study are consistent with previous studies that found an association between television viewing activity and risk of death.
Previous studies conducted on 6,329 Americans found that 55 percent of participants spent most of the day to sit, especially watching TV, driving, and surf the Internet. Meanwhile, in a new study, researchers want to uncover what the actual activity most associated with risk of death.
Researchers also followed a total of 13 284 participants, consisting of men (38 percent) and women (62 percent) with an average age of 37 years. Participants were followed for approximately 8.2 years.
During the study period, there were 97 deaths reported. Nineteen of them due to cardiovascular disease, 46 due to cancer, and the remaining 32 due to other causes.

It turns out, after analysis, the risk of death from any cause was higher in those who spend more time in front of the TV than people who watch TV less than an hour a day.
Researchers also found that, compared with other less mobile activities, such as driving and surfing the internet, watching TV more have an impact on the risk of death.
