The boss urged to advise their staff to take a decent break after a study conducted recently showed many people continue to work during the lunch hour every day.
As reported by the BBC on Friday (6/6), The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in the UK said the lack of activity impact on productivity due to poor health so that employees easily fall ill.
The study involved 2,000 people revealed that one in five employees work during the lunch hour. Half of them had lunch at their desks, one in five people eat outside the office and three percent chose to exercise.
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy asked the supervisor to encourage their staff to get more engaged and active during working hours to reduce the risk of health problems. Threatening problem varies from neck pain to cancer, heart disease and stroke.
Only one-third of employees said that their employer provides the opportunity to exercise such as giving discounts on gym memberships, clubs run at lunchtime or after office hours exercise classes.
