Do not Jump Eating Fruit and Tea After Eating

A glass of tea is many people's favorite drink after a meal. Some people have also had a habit of smoking immediately after a meal, while some choose to sleep. These habits are not all good because it can inhibit the action of the digestive organs.

Know what habits we should not do after eating:

- In Bed
Sleep after a big meal can slow down the digestive organs so that we will feel bloated and uncomfortable when you wake up. Sleeping on your back will cause the food directly into the esophagus and cause heartburn. We recommend that you wait at least one hour after eating before going to bed, so that the digestive organs have break down food.

- Eating fruit
Velocity of the body in digesting the food turned out varies according to the type of food. The fruit is digested quickly, so if we eat them immediately after eating, they will live a long time, fermented and cause gas. Eat fruits one or two hours before eating. This habit also helps us to overeat at mealtime.

- Drinking tea
Drink tea after a meal will disrupt the digestive organs because the tea leaves are acidic so it affects the body's ability to digest food. Acid from tea also makes a protein that we eat is more difficult to digest. Tea also contains polyphenols and tannins that bind iron in food and makes it difficult absorbed by the body. - Drink lots of water
Avoid drinking too much water while eating or after eating because it can make stomach acid and enzymes more dilute so it must work harder to digest food.

According to the science of Ayurveda, drinking ginger tea after a meal can actually help work the digestive organs. The content of the ginger can speed up the movement of food from the stomach to the small intestine, stimulates the production of digestive enzymes and relieve stomach cramps.

- Smoking
Others have suggested that smoking one cigarette after a meal is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes. Although it is still debated, but smoking at any time actually is bad for health.

- Sports
After the meal, the main focus is the body digest food. If you are exercising immediately after a heavy meal, the digestive organs will lack the power to digest. We can feel the effect, among others, stomach cramps, dizziness, or diarrhea.

Instead, do moderate exercise like walking leisurely about 30 minutes after eating. In addition to helping the digestive organs work, this activity also helps you lose weight.
