Like Eating Chocolate? this benefit is

Chocolate is much preferred because of its delicious taste, either in the form of food or used as a drink. Beyond the pleasure of chocolate, there are many health benefits.

Researchers from Brown University have strengthened the finding that compounds in cocoa is good for the health of the cardiovascular system.

The study, published in the Journal of Nutrition has analyzed 1,100 people were asked to consume chocolate.

They want to know if chocolate containing flavanols compounds can maintain cholesterol levels, increases sensitivity to insulin and the hormone that controls blood sugar levels.

"We found that the intake of cocoa flavanols can reduce dyslipidemia (elevated triglycerides), insulin resistance, and systemic inflammation. These are the risk factors for cardiometabolic disease," said Director of the Center for Global Cardiometabolic Health at Brown University, Dr. Simin Liu.

Such benefits can be obtained if the daily consumption of a chocolate bar or a drink made from cocoa powder black.

However, the lead author, Xiaochen Lin cautioned against too much consumption of chocolate products in the form of candy or white chocolate, because it contains sugar is higher than dark chocolate.

Although it is more bitter, dark chocolate or dark chocolate is the right choice for chocolate lovers in order to get the healthy benefits.

The benefits of cocoa, especially in dark chocolate are already many researchers found. In addition to heart health, eating dark chocolate are also believed to help decrease blood pressure, and even weight loss.
