Do not Stress, Heal Wounds Will be Difficult

Stress was not the only cause of disease, but also can inhibit pemyembuhan diseases, including injuries. Stress conditions will produce the hormone cortisol in the body.

Wound specialists who have got the certification of America Board of Wound Management, Adisaputra Ramadhinara, say, the hormone cortisol that can inhibit wound healing.

"The hormone cortisol will inhibit cell that acts like fibroblasts and cells that are responsible for the process of inflammation," said Adi in Jakarta, Monday (03/02/2015).

Due to the high hormone cortisol, bacteria killer cells can become inactive. Infection of the wound becomes difficult to heal.

Stress can occur due to various factors. According to Adi, the condition of severe injuries can make someone become stressed. For example, when there is excessive pain and injuries that cause bad smell.

To that end, the wound can not be underestimated because it can degrade the quality of life. Adi said, the wound can be healed and do not need to think for direct amputated when injuries that never healed.


He explained, correct wound care, by keeping moisture around the wound. Humidity can help the formation of new tissue.

Instead, the wound is not treated properly can be contaminated with microbes, local infection, and expanded into a systemic infection.
