Plans to lose weight? Try the best diet for weight loss recommended the Harvard researchers.

Based on the results of five studies by Harvard Medical Studies, the Mediterranean diet has been named as the most effective diets for weight loss, compared with a low-fat diet, low carbohydrate diet, and diet of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

Mediterranean diet that emphasizes elements of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, olive oil, nuts, and low in meat, dairy, and eggs, rated researchers also beneficial for heart health, eye, and your brain function.

Mediterranean diet resulted in a number of health benefits and also in terms of weight loss, making this type of diet is confirmed to be the best in the weight loss mission.

After doing research on 998 participants who are overweight and the Mediterranean diet for a year, researchers found, participants were able to lose weight by between 5-10 kilograms.

While the low-carb diet, the ADA diet and a low-fat diet, only managed to help reduce body weight as much as 3-5 kilograms a year.

In other words, the study concluded that the Mediterranean diet may be the most appropriate option to lose weight and keep the heart healthy.
