"If the rate of metabolism in the body increases, it means there are more calories burned" said one of the experts involved in the study, Professor Manoj Srinivasan, as quoted by the Independent on Saturday (17/10).
The study also showed people naturally will increase their walking speed when traveling a long distance. Instead, their speed will slow down when the distance is shorter.
