Avocado Really Could Be Drug Leukemia

Avocados are not only tasty, but also rich in compounds that are beneficial to health. In fact, recent research reveals that the avocado is known as a natural butter has compounds that can fight one of the most dangerous diseases in the world.
The disease is acute myeloid leukemia (Acute Myeloid Leukemia -AML), one type of cancer according to the American Cancer Society estimated to kill more than 10,000 people in the 2015's, half of that amount is newly diagnosed cases.

Professor Paul Spagnuolo of Canada said, that the lipids in avocado is called avocatin B is able to target the leukemia stem cells without harming other cells healthy. "It's a nice thing to study in our laboratory," he said.

"Not only avocatin B is able to eliminate AML, but targeted and selective effect that makes the poison in the body is reduced. Unfortunately, according to Spagnuolo, this treatment is still in the draft until a few years away.

Nowadays not many drugs on the market for AML, a cancer that can make blood stem cells become abnormal, which then develops in the bone marrow, pushing out healthy cells and cause infections that are often fatal.

Therefore, it is expected from this study, avocados can be a new and better drugs to fight AML.
